Environment Prize
An Environment Prize, for better ecological management in Belgium
Created over 10 years ago, the InBev-Baillet Latour Environment Prize annually awards a private owner or manager for an ecological development or management project on a Belgian estate. With an amount of ยค 10,000, the prize is the highest recognition in Belgium for sustainable management of the environment. Having promoted the preservation of natural environments and the harmonious cohabitation of man and nature in our country for the past ten years, the InBev-Baillet Latour Fund has partnered with the Belgian Foundation for the Conservation of Habitats, presided by Baron Edgar Kesteloot, for the award of an Environment Prize. This national prize is awarded alternately by the Fondation Wallonne pour la Conservation des Habitats (even-number years) and the Stichting Behoud Natuur en Leefmilieu Vlaanderen (odd-number years). Every year, a jury of independent environment experts reward exemplary ecological projects in Wallonia, in Flanders and in Brussels. Furthermore, the InBev-Baillet Latour Fund annually presents an award of merit to persons from companies active in environmental or natural resources management. Through these two related initiatives, the Fund supports initiatives in the management of the environment and the protection of nature in Belgium. A sector where many efforts remain to be undertaken for the well-being of all. >>> links: To presentation of winning projects

"Since its inception, the Fund has expanded its objectives to keep on the pulse of the latest developments, while at the same time maintaining its financial support at a significant level. This prestigious promotional support is an added value, the impact of which extends far beyond the national borders. The Environment Prize is generously financed by the InBev-Baillet Latour Fund and is today one of the most prestigious in its field. The official award ceremony is graced each year by the presence of Prince Laurent."
