Baillet Latour Family
The Baillet-Latour Museum: a little piece of memory
Since June 2, 2010, the Baillet-Latour Museum in Latour near Virton allows visitors to discover the history of the family, the activities of the Fund, and the life of Henri de Baillet Latour. Four rooms have been completely redesigned, and today house unpublished documents. The layout and design of this charming museum, located near the grave of Henri de Baillet Latour, opposite the town village, was fully financed by the InBev-Baillet Latour Fund. The illustrious lineage thus comes full circle at this small entity, where it originated many centuries ago. In the shade of the old family castle, in what used to be known as the "lower town", the visitor can follow step by step the genealogy of the Baillet-Latour family (room 1), the fate of the major members of this family, which distinguished itself both in our regions and in the old Austrian Hungarian Empire (room 2), the prominent role of Henri de Baillet Latour within the Olympic Movement (room 3), and finally the creation of the InBev-Baillet Latour Fund at the initiative of the last descendant of the lineage (room 4). >> read more : Download the press release (June 2010) Download the museum brochure in PDF
