Marketing at European level at the Solvay Business School
The Euromarketing Chair was inaugurated in the course of 2004-2005 at the Solvay Business School, located on the site of the Université Libre in Brussels. Contributing to the development of the Business School, this Euromarketing Chair is the first platform to cover the field of marketing at a European level. The Chair has identified the following key areas: The development, commercialisation and distribution of Euro-products for Euro- consumers Price policy at a European level (issue of standardisation) Pan-European communication campaigns He sometimes antithetical relations between pan-European organisations and decentralised structures The Euromarketing Chair consists of a group of activities articulated around titular professor Christian Blümelhuber of the Technische Universität München. His mandate is to develop and spread knowledge about Euromarketing and ensure, within three to five years, the financial autonomy of a scientific centre of excellence in this discipline. More specifically, the Chair organises courses in the various programmes of the Solvay Business School, it organises executive education programmes, and also conferences, seminars and publications of a scientific nature. Facts SEPTEMBER 2004 Since 2004, the Solvay Business School has accommodated the InBev-Baillet Latour Euromarketing University Chair, managed by Professor Christian Blümelhuber. The contribution of the Fund consists of annual transfers of € 95,000 for three years, which can be renewed. Partners & Professor The Euromarketing Chair is organised under the tutorship of titular professor Christian Blümelhuber of the Technische Universität München. His mandate is to develop and spread knowledge about Euromarketing and ensure, within three to five years, the financial autonomy of a scientific centre of excellence in this discipline. Furthermore, the operation of the Chair is regularly evaluated by a steering committee composed of representatives from both the InBev-Baillet Latour Fund and the Solvay Business School. The committee meets at least once a year to take stock of the previous year's activities, analyse projects for the coming year and determine common actions to increase visibility.
