IRPA restoration grant

Training in the restoration of our heritage

Belgium has an exceptional cultural and artistic heritage. To preserve these riches, Belgium needs professional and experienced curators-restorers. However, this demanding trade is no longer attracting sufficient professionals. This is why the InBev-Baillet Latour Fund is taking action in support of the Royal Artistic Heritage Institute (IRPA), which helps new professionals with further vocational training and finding employment. The InBev-Baillet Latour Fund supports the IRPA with financial aid amounting to € 360,000. Restorers on work placements can devote themselves to the study, restoration and conservation of Belgium's artistic and cultural heritage at one of the IRPA's workshops. This action is in keeping with the InBev-Baillet Latour Fund's philosophy, which is to encourage high human-value work of a scientific, educational or artistic nature.
